Spring Break

Standard

For our “Spring Break,” Baby Boy and I headed to my parents’ house.  We had lots of fun things planned to do that week, but Baby Boy ended up getting sick.  One night Uncle Mark saved the day/night by taking a late night trip to the pharmacy for us.  Then I got sick the following week, and then Baby Boy got sick again two weeks after that.  Is it summer yet?  We did get to go to the beach at Stahlman Park for a bit and the Houston Zoo.

But once he got closer to the water, he realized it was moving toward him and took off running back to safety.

The week before we headed to Lake Jackson, my mom had been telling us all about the baby giraffe, baby elephant, and the zoo train.  Baby Boy was so excited to go, but he didn’t understand that he had to wait a week.

He was so sad that he couldn't go see the zoo right then.

He also really enjoyed the piranha tunnel. He wanted me to go with him the first time, but after that he was fine on his own. Getting in and going thru the tunnel was the easy part, getting out was a challenge for anyone bigger than a toddler.
