Recently, John flew down to San Diego for a conference. My mom was able to fly back up to stay with us while he was gone. We had a very busy week. I had the chance to get in some much needed check-ups and a haircut. I also had the wonderful treat of going shopping all on my own!
We took several trips to the park while Nana was here.
Baby Boy had fun showing Nana how he could go down the big slide all on his own. Here he is making sure she is watching him.
I had just finished showing the little guy how to hang upside down. My mom did not snap the picture fast enough, and someone thought it was hilarious to pull my hair while I was up side down.
His turn to “hang” up side down.
A sunny day at the park means he gets to wear his very cute hat.
Investigating a doll and headband that had been left behind.
Someone had also left behind LOTS of trucks.
He put all the trucks on the merry-go-round.
Why yes, Superman is trying to unlock the front door.
Maybe he’ll have better luck making his escape as Batman?
A very sunny day at the park means a hat and sunglasses. Amazingly he kept them on for a good 30 minutes or so.
I stay within a foot or two of Baby Boy for the majority of our time at the park. It doesn’t matter if a platform is 1 foot tall or 5 feet tall, he’ll try to jump off both of them… or dive down the slide head first… or follow the older boys into their “fort” in the shrubbery…
John flew back in on a Thursday, and on Friday morning we headed to REI to buy a hiking carrier. After nap time, we tested it out at Discovery Park.
So far so good…
Family photo. Mama and Dada are still happy.
I like this one because they are making the exact same face.
That was a miserable last mile. We have 30 days to return it if needed.
