Christmas: Part 2 (Dallas)

Standard

By the time we made it to Dallas, the excitement from the weekend was over, and John felt horrible with a cold.  We didn’t do much for several days, and a few days after John got sick, Baby Boy came down with it too.  That week was a blur of coughing, hacking, runny noses, and very little sleep.    We took Baby Boy to an Urgent Care center while there, and he was diagnosed with a severe double ear infection.  We were at the Urgent Care until almost midnight.  By the time we left, my hair was crunchy with Baby Boy’s tears and snot.   It was a rough doctor visit to say the least, but he started doing better after a few days of antibiotics.  Just as the guys were doing better, I started coming down with it.  We didn’t get to see everyone we wanted to see while we were in Dallas, but we also didn’t want to share our germs.  We didn’t take very many pictures while there either, but here are a few of us with John’s family.

Someday Aunt Melissa, when you have a little one, we're getting them an Elmo guitar for Christmas. :-)

The next morning we loaded up and drove to Lake Jackson.  The only benefit of Baby Boy not sleeping well at night was that he slept for the entire drive.
