While I know these aren’t necessities, these do make life with a baby easier. We use these things pretty much everyday.
Carpet and clothing stain remover – I bought a giant box of Huggies Little Snugglers diapers at Costco. Yeah…NOT a good buy! We will not be buying those ever again. They do not contain the mess. Thus the need for stain remover. Lots and lots of stain remover.
Lullabies and sleep sack – There for awhile Baby Boy did not want to take his naps. He could put up a good fight for 30-45 minutes some days. Then I thought to try putting him in a sleep sack and play lullabies while I rocked him. I change his diaper, put him in his sleep sack, play the lullabies, and rock him a bit. He’s usually sound asleep within minutes, 10 minutes tops with minimal whining noises and no crying and flailing about.
Baby Bjorn bib – We used owl bib that is “waterproof” for his first time eating cereal. That bib is not being used again until we try dry foods like cheerios and gold fish crackers. The Baby Bjorn bib works wonderfully. It catches all the spills and dribbles, his clothes stay dry and mostly clean, and the bib itself is easy to clean. It can even go in the dishwasher. I bought another waterproof bib for him that after I got home, I realized the tag said to hand wash only. Sure it’s cute with the polka dots, but who makes a baby bib that can only be hand washed?
Jumper – Baby Boy enjoys spending time in his jumper. I usually put him in it while I vacuum or need to clean in the kitchen or cook dinner. As long as it’s not getting too close to nap time, he happily plays for about 30 minutes or so.
